Welcome to Brest, France The meeting will take place at IFREMER Institute (Technopôle Brest Iroise, Pointe du Diable, Plouzané), located less than 20 minutes away (by car) from Brest city center. You can reach Brest and IFREMER from the airport by taxi or bus, or rent a car at the airport. | ||
Meeting The meeting will be located in the Lucien Laubier conference room at IFREMER. Note that at the gate entrance of IFREMER, you must give your ID card (please remember to take it before departure!). Airport shuttles until Brest center From the airport, It takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center (stop called “gare SNCF”). IFREMER from Brest Every morning and afternoon, a special bus (free) picks you up near the hotels (20mn to reach the IFREMER Institute). Euros There is no change facility near IFREMER site. We advise you to get Euros at the cash point of the Airport or in Brest city center. | |
Hotels The hotels are the Ibis centre and the Oceania centre hotels located in Brest city center (see the map). Special rates have been negotiated. To obtain these IFREMER rate, please reserve here Hotel reservation Lunches and dinner The lunches will be offered at the IFREMER restaurant. The ice-breaker on Sunday and the dinner on Wednesday will take place at the Cercle Naval in Brest city center (see the map). Field trip on the Island of Molène On Tuesday, we will have a full day field trip on the Island of Molène, with the half day lectures held on the island, after a visit. If for some reason, you want to skip this trip, please tell Luigi Cavaleri (luigi.cavaleri@ismar.cnr.it) to manage with your lecture in the agenda. For this day, we recommend to take with you some warm clothes. |
