Fabrice Ardhuin


Fabrice got his Ph.D. at the Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, CA) in 2001, and joined Ifremer in January 2010 after 9 happy years as a researcher and program manager for the Service Hydrographique et Océanographique de la Marine (Brest, France). Fabrice is a worldwide recognized expert in ocean wave modelling and various aspects of wave-current interactions, for which he was awarded the 2008 Fofonof award by the American Meteorological Society. In 2009, the ERC has been kind enough to let him get away with the IOWAGA project thanks to a generous Young Investigator award.


Fabrice is the author or co-author of 33 peer-reviewed publications since 1999.
