Bastien Taormina received the Young Researchers Award from the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity

The Fondation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité's Young Researcher Prize was awarded to Bastien Taormina (LEBCO) for his work on "Electric cables at the bottom of our oceans" carried out as part of his thesis.

In a context of rapid development of marine renewable energy projects, Bastien has improved knowledge of the potential impacts of submarine power cables on coastal benthic ecosystems and provided a better understanding of the environmental impacts of these cables. This thesis is the result of a collaboration between Ifremer and France Energies Marines.

Bastien Taormina's work has been rewarded by the Réseau de transport d'électricité (RTE).
