Founded in 2008 by AiCarnot, the Carnot Rendez-Vous is a business convention where businesses, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, can seek R&D advice to meet their innovation needs. This is done through a series of pre-dominantly pre-arranged meetings.
For businesses, the Carnot Rendez-Vous event is a fantastic opportunity and innovation forum for meeting with future partners and customers. They are an intense and clear illustration of the efforts conducted year-round by the network of Carnot institutes, geared towards industry and businesses.
This year, the Rendez-vous Carnot 2012 will take place in Lyon on the 10 and 11th of October. The Institut Carnot Edrome department in charge of deep-sea physical resources and ecosystems will naturally be in attendance, not only to showcase the range of collaborative research opportunities offered by Ifremer, but also to highlight the Captiven project, conducted in partnership with the BRGM and Irstea Carnot institutes.
The Captiven project (CAPTeurs et données pour la qualité ENvironnementale des eaux et des sols) is one of the four winners of the “Carnot PME” and "Carnot International" call-for-projects programme. It aims to enhance the efficiency of metrological facilities in order to monitor risks and reduce the effects of global change, while at the same time optimizing the use of environmental resources.
